Web Portal to CRM Integration

Infinite Acuity began their relationship with Immuno Laboratories by developing a web-based physician’s portal that integrated with Immuno’s CRM system (Pivotal CRM).  This portal allows physicians, which use Immuno Laboratories to run their tests, to submit their requisitions and pay for them all from the web. This information is passed to the CRM database via a direct SQL server connection over an encrypted VPN tunnel.  Furthermore, physicians also have the ability to view the status of requisitions being processed and information on past requisitions as well.  The portal again connects to the CRM database via a direct connection and pulls the requested data for display on the web portal.

LIS / CRM Integration

IA recently coordinated the upgrading of Immuno’s internal infrastructure in order to bring better services and more value to their customers.  Immuno moved to a new LIS system (Orchard Harvest) and needed to have this interact with their existing Pivotal CRM system.  The two systems could not communicate directly so IA created a middleware application that facilitated communication between the LIS and CRM systems. The middleware application utilizes the HL7 standard protocol to retrieve requisition data from the Pivotal CRM system, convert the data into a flat file and places it into a directory that is then read by the LIS system.   The middleware application also pulls test result files that are generated by the LIS system, parses them into the HL7 format and inserts the test results into the Pivotal CRM system; therefore allowing for a bi-directional data flow mechanism between two disparate systems.
