Creating a new video social media portal for Mom’s was the goal. The basic direction was to use video as the driver of new memberships and then finally creating a social media website to keep Mom’s coming back again and again. To accomplish this, MVI created a wall of video to grab the new visitors attention. Not only was the wall of video interactive and build with web 2.0 tools but the site owner needed controls to easily change videos. When the visitor selected a video of interest the video display page would provide a second wall of other videos about the same topic, allowing the mom to drag and drop video one after another. New Video could be uploaded through the member section for public or private consumption. The development was complicated by the need for RSS feeds, adding title tags for search engines, creating search engine friendly Flash design and the site was built to support 100,000 of visitors per day. |
