The data analysis and price comparison tool utilizes a custom algorithm to determine the true per-unit cost of each item. Part of this algorithm is automatic conversion of metric and US measurements to simplify the comparison process. For example, if one item has a cost in pounds (LB) but a comparable item is in kilograms (KG), the system will automatically convert the kilogram (KG) measurement into pounds (LB) for comparison purposes. This allows the users to view pricing on an apples-to-apples basis.

Furthermore, the cost comparison tool includes color coding to quickly identify the lowest cost item of the group and also identify any items that are cheaper than the main item being compared against.
